Philipp Honigmann
Philipp Honigmann is Professor of Hand Surgery at the University of Basel, Consultant at the University Hospital Basel, and practices at the Hand Center Northwestern Switzerland. His clinical and academic interests include reconstructive wrist and peripheral nerve surgery, translational research, 3D printing, advanced imaging, kinematic analysis, and digital innovation in hand surgery. He is Co-Leader of the Swiss Medical Additive Manufacturing Research Group at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Basel.
He is Vice President of the Swiss Society for Hand Surgery and has served on its Board since 2019, with responsibility for postgraduate education.
Within FESSH, he served as Co-President of the FESSH Congress 2026 in Basel and has contributed through scientific committee work and the promotion of education and innovation. As Chair of the FESSH Journal & Publications Committee and a member of the FESSH Executive Committee, he is committed to strengthening the impact, accessibility, and international visibility of FESSH publications while advancing innovation in scientific publishing.
