Jonathan Hobby is a Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hampshire Hospitals, UK. He is on the Council of FESSH and chairs the FESSH Education Committee (2021 – 2027). He is on the Executive Committee of the IFSSH (International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand). He has published five book chapters and over 40 peer reviewed publications. He completed an MD Thesis on the clinical effectiveness of MRI of the wrist in 2000 and was awarded a Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2001.

Jonathan served as President of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand in 2022. He has served on the orthopaedic SAC (UK training committee), and is the National hand surgery specialty adviser for GIRFT. He has been on the AO faculty for 20 years.
