Presenters: Ryan Trickett (UK) and Jonathan Hobby (UK)
Ryan Trickett is a Hand and Wrist surgeon in Cardiff, UK. He studied medicine in Wales before completing hand fellowships at both the Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham and the Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Derby. He is currently Chair of the BSSH Communication Committee and runs an advanced cadaveric hand trauma course in Cardiff. His research interests include the treatment of common hand trauma problems and patient reported outcome measures.
Jonathan Hobby is the chair of the FESSH Education Committee. He is a Consultant Hand Surgeon working at the Hampshire Hospitals in the UK. Mr Hobby was President of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand in 2022, and was the program chair for the combined IFSSH/FESSH meeting in London. He was chairman of the BSSH sixth series of instructional courses in Hand Surgery. He has served on the UK general medical council’s specialist advisory committee for training orthopaedic surgery (2017-22). His research interests include imaging in the wrist, outcome measures in hand surgery, fractures, small joint replacement and the psychological aspects of hand surgery.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion indcluding the questions raised by the audience.
