The activities of this committee have been recently resurrected and so are currently being developed. We are responsible for updating the FESSH White Book and the FESSH Travelling Awards.

We will be offering a new award, the prestigious FESSH Training Fellowship in Hand Surgery. This is intended to facilitate advanced training in Hand Surgeryin a hand surgery centre, in a FESSH affiliated European country.

We are in the process of developing the FESSH Academy, which is intended to run for the first time early in 2019 (exact date to be confirmed) in Budapest. This instructional event is intended to run annually over a four-day period and cover the principles of management of all of the common problems in hand surgery, as well as basic science and practical sessions. The content will be delivered by well known speakers from around Europe and beyond. Places will be limited to around 50 participants.

We look forward to seeing you at the FESSH congress and we would be pleased to discuss any suggestions for future committee activities….
